Lyrics
The Love You Give

My wife and I went to the Y last night,
to take a class called "love and life"
Guess that teacher had been through Hell
Lost her family, her hopes and dreams
Drunk driver split their car at the seams
Somehow she lived to tell

we asked her how she got by
she didn't blink when she replied...

The Love you Give, is the Love you Get
I'm livin' and givin' the best I can (lets live and give...best we can 2nd +3rd x)
So I'll have no regrets (so we'll have no regrets 2nd + 3rd x)
ready to forgive, hope it ain't too late yet
When life ain't fair, and no one cares
I try not to forget (let's try not to forget...2nd+3rdx)
The Love you Give, is the Love you Get

We walked and talked all the way back home
Spending some precious time alone
Sitter for the kids, that's a rare thing
We've had our share of tough times where
We almost lost the will to care
Filled with worry fear and blame

She reminds me why we said our vows
Says "get on your knees and repeat outloud...
(Chorus then Bridge)

Some believe in miracles, Some say its all coincidence
Next morning Sunday Service came, here's what our preacher said...
(Chorus Breakdown then BIG then out)
